Getting your license and passport is a simple procedure in Wayzata. The Motor Vehicle Department can take care of everything from taking your passport photo to providing a public notary service. The Wayzata Public Works Department is located at 299 Wayzata Boulevard West and it is responsible for maintaining and repairing streets, water systems, sewer systems, parks and more. The Wayzata Police Department has seven sworn police offers on staff to help take care of your emergency needs. In all, there is one chief of police, a lieutenant, a sergeant, a School Resource Officer and seven patrol officers. There are also non-sworn staff that answers the phone and does other jobs in the department. The Adopt a Garden Program in Wayzata is one of the most popular programs around. Individuals and businesses volunteer to take care of various areas of the flower gardens throughout the city. They sign up to weed the gardens, plant flowers basically maintain them to help keep the community looking vibrant and beautiful. When voting in elections in Wayzata, the polling place is located in the Wayzata Community Room at 600 Rice Street East. The polling place is typically open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the days of the election. Remember to register to vote at least 20 days prior to en election.
